take on Southampton in the EFL Cup final tomorrow at Wembley (4.30pm).

The trophy could become United’s second of the season – adding to the Community Shield they picked up at the start of the campaign.

Antonio Valencia thinks the EFL Cup could give Manchester United a boost in the title race

Winning the cup could give us even more impetus, as we’re already pretty high on confidence,” Valencia said.

“It’s a big thing for us, there are around 15 games left in the Premier League and anything can still happen.

“While we have a chance mathematically, we’ll carry on battling to try and win the title.”

United currently sit in sixth place in the league – 12 points off the leaders .

However, Jose Mourinho’s side are in fine form and have not lost since they took on Fenerbahce in the Europa League last November.

The Red Devils are just two points shy of the top four and are also going well in Europe and the FA Cup
