Chelsea winger Eden Hazard admitted he sawManchester United as a huge threat heading into 2017.

His former boss Jose Mourinho has steadied the ship at Old Trafford, with United now on a 17-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

And ahead of tonight’s FA Cup quarter-final tie in west London (7.45pm), Chelsea’s star man has discussed his take on United.

“One month ago I told people that I thought United will be the best team in the second half of the season,” Hazard told The Telegraph.

“Because they started slow, and then they have great players, a great manager, and they know what to do.”

Mourinho will have to contend with a huge shortage of strikers when United travel to Stamford Bridge later.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was already suspended for the clash, but now Express Sport understands Wayne Rooney (injury), Anthony Martial (injury) and Marcus Rashford (illness) have all been ruled out too.

A training ground collision with defender Phil Jones has resulted in Rooney’s absence, making life far more difficult for the Red Devils.

And with Antonio Conte able to name a near full strength side, they are now strong favourites to reach Wembley.

Jose Mourinho is set to choose from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini on who to start up top

With all four of his recognised frontmen unavailable, Mourinho must turn to alternatives against the Blues.

Express Sport understands it is likely the Portuguese will turn to midfielder Marouane Fellaini as an emergency striker.

Louis van Gaal deployed the tall Belgian in attack occasionally during his time in charge.

But another option for Mourinho as a makeshift hitman is playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to Manchester Evening News, the unique dilemma leaves the midfield duo as United’s best choices to pick from their 20-man squad to have travelled.
