Fans who came out to watch a football match have turned the event into a place for mischievous pranks as they threw dead rats into the field.

A Danish Superliga derby between Brondby and FC Copenhagen was marred by disturbing scenes as fans threw dead rats from the stands onto the pitch, The Telegraph reports.
With the home team Brondby trailing 1-0 in the 85th minute, supporters threw a couple of rodents at FC Copenhagen’s Ludwig Augustinsson on Monday as he was setting the ball up for a corner kick.
The left-back tried to kick the rats away, assisted by teammate and goalscorer Benjamin Verbic, before stewards arrived to pick up the animals.
Troels Bech, Brondby’s sports director, condemned the fans’ behaviour.
“We are obviously annoyed that we had to leave the field without points, but it is equally unfortunate that there are some visitors for today’s match who could not figure out how to behave properly,” he wrote in a statement.
“We will now look all the video material and pictures … [and] will engage in dialogue with groups of supporters in the hope that together we can identify the right person and make sure he/she gets removed from the stadium.
“We have Denmark’s most atmospheric football stadium and … by far the best fans, and a single individual should not ruin it for the greater community.”
“All players are used to having beers and much more thrown at them, but dead rats…” FC Copenhagen said in its match report.
FC Copenhagen went on to win the championship group game 1-0, extending their lead over rival Brondby by 12 points at the top of the Superliga table.
The two Danish teams, situated about six miles (10km) apart, have a rich history of hatred towards one another and their derbies, known as the “new firm” attract the biggest crowd every year, according to attendance season records at NetSuperligaen.dk.
