Kelechi Iheanacho’s move to Leicester is reportedly being delayed by a legal wrangle between his current and former agents.
A £25million deal was said to have been agreed for the young striker to join the Foxes weeks ago.
And before City departed from their American tour, manager Pep Guardiola saidhe expected the youngster to join the 2016 Premier League champions .
However, the MEN’s sister paper theLeicester Mercury report the deal is being held up due to a dispute between the agents over his image rights.
There is no suggestion it will scupper the deal, but it could delay it even further they say.
Leicester are said to be hopeful the 20 year-old hitman, who scored seven goals for City last term, will join them before the end of pre-season
There are also reports West Ham pulled out of the running for the young star, and instead turned their attention to Javier Hernandez, because of the complication.
Guardiola said on Saturday: “I think Kelechi leaves us in favour of Leicester.
“I think so, but I do not want to say anything wrong either.
“We will see. If that does not happen, he will be part of the group.”
He has previously said: “Kelechi is a young player. It was easy, an honour to work with him, because it’s not easy for him, I didn’t give him a lot of choices.
“But he’s close to making a transfer.”
